1. PURPOSE
This notice is provided before you submit your application, in accordance with Section 5 of the DPDP Act, 2023, and seeks your consent under Section 6 for processing your personal data as part of our recruitment process.

2. DATA WE COLLECT
   - Application data: name, contact details, resume/CV, cover letter, educational and employment history
   - Assessment data: test scores, interview notes, interviewer feedback and ratings
   - Verification data: references, background-check results, employment/education certificate verification
   - Sensitive-adjacent data (only where relevant and voluntarily provided): disability status for accommodation requests, current compensation

3. PURPOSE OF PROCESSING
To evaluate your suitability for the role applied for (and, if you consent separately below, for other open roles), to conduct reference and background checks, to communicate with you about your application status, and to comply with applicable labour and immigration law.

4. CONSENT STATEMENT
Please indicate your consent by checking the applicable boxes:
   [ ] I consent to the Company processing my application data for evaluation of my candidature for the position stated above.
   [ ] I consent to the Company retaining my resume for consideration against future open roles for up to [X months].
   [ ] I consent to the Company conducting a background verification check through [Vendor Name] as described above.
Consent for each purpose is independent; declining any optional box will not affect your candidature for the role you applied to, except where the check is a mandatory pre-employment requirement disclosed to you in advance.

5. THIRD-PARTY SHARING
Your data may be shared with: interview panel members, the background-verification agency [Vendor Name], and applicant-tracking-system provider [Vendor Name], each under contractual obligations consistent with Section 8(2) of the DPDP Act.

6. WITHDRAWAL OF CONSENT
You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing [Recruitment Email]. Withdrawal will not affect an offer already extended and accepted but will stop further processing of your candidature and trigger erasure of your data per our retention schedule, unless retention is required for legal claims.

7. RETENTION AND ERASURE
If you are not selected, your application data will be retained for [X months, e.g., 6-12 months] for audit and equal-opportunity compliance purposes and then erased, unless you have separately consented to future-role consideration.

8. YOUR RIGHTS
You may request access to, or correction/erasure of, your candidate data (Sections 11-12) by writing to [Recruitment/DPO Email]. If unsatisfied with our response, you may raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer before approaching the Data Protection Board of India (Section 13).
