MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS CONSENT NOTICE

Issued by: [Organization Name]
Effective Date: [Effective Date]

1. PURPOSE OF THIS NOTICE
This notice covers only promotional and marketing communications — it is separate from any notice covering transactional or service communications, which we may send regardless of your marketing preferences as they are necessary for service delivery.

2. WHAT WE MEAN BY "MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS"
Newsletters, product announcements, offers and discounts, event invitations, satisfaction surveys used for promotional targeting, and communications sent via email, SMS, WhatsApp, push notification, or phone call for the above purposes.

3. CONSENT REQUEST
   [ ] I consent to receive marketing communications from [Organization Name] via: [ ] Email [ ] SMS [ ] WhatsApp [ ] Push Notification [ ] Phone Call.
[ ] I consent to [Organization Name] sharing my contact details with its group companies [list, if applicable] for the same marketing purposes.
This consent is entirely optional, is not a condition for using our core product or service, and is sought in accordance with Sections 5 and 6 of the DPDP Act, 2023 — meaning it must be free, specific, informed, unconditional, and unambiguous.

4. WHAT DATA IS USED
Name, email address, phone number, purchase history, and browsing/preference data (only where you have separately consented to personalisation), used solely to select and tailor the offers we send you.

5. FREQUENCY AND CHANNEL CONTROL
You may choose which channels you wish to hear from us on, and may set a preferred frequency (e.g., weekly digest instead of individual emails) in Account Settings > Communication Preferences.

6. WITHDRAWAL OF CONSENT — AS EASY AS GIVING IT
You may withdraw this consent at any time through any of the following equally simple methods, consistent with the requirement under Section 6(3) that withdrawal be no harder than giving consent:
   - Clicking "Unsubscribe" at the bottom of any marketing email
   - Replying "STOP" to any marketing SMS/WhatsApp message
   - Toggling off "Marketing Communications" in Account Settings > Communication Preferences
   - Emailing [Privacy/DPO Email] with the subject "Withdraw Marketing Consent"
Withdrawal takes effect within [X business days, e.g., 5 working days] and does not affect transactional communications.

7. RETENTION
Your marketing consent status and channel preferences are retained for as long as your account is active, or until withdrawn, whichever is earlier.

8. THIRD-PARTY MARKETING PLATFORMS
Communications may be dispatched through [Vendor Name, e.g., email service provider / SMS gateway], which processes your contact data solely as our processor under a written contract per Section 8(2).

9. GRIEVANCES
If you continue to receive marketing communications after withdrawing consent, or have any other concern, contact our Grievance Officer at [Email Address] before approaching the Data Protection Board of India.
